One of the first activities of DESTEX project was to launch a survey to identify needs from students and companies in order to engage and design the right tools within DESTEX project to bridge the gap between the technical textiles and the design sectors.
The survey was prepared by LCI Barcelona and distributed among all partners. The survey targeted students and “professional profiles” divided into three subcategories: higher education staff, professionals from companies, and entities of innovation.
The key results highlight the evidence of a significant gap of competences between the advanced manufacturing textile sector and both creativity and innovation areas.
