The DESTEX partnership comprises eight institutions from five European countries: Sweden, Greece, Italy, Spain and Denmark. This is a mixture of institutions with different profiles, capcities and complementary competences (higher education institutions, training centers, SME’s companies, non-profit institutions and business associations).


Hoegskolan I Borås

University of Borås (UB) plays a leading role in the development and application of textiles and fashion in research, industry, and society in Sweden. Design, technology, and management of textiles are the three major fields under the research and education environment with well-equipped laboratories, workshops and full scale facilities in knitting, weaving, finishing, dyeing, printing, 3Dprinting, digital inkjet printing, sewing and assembly in the Swedish School of Textiles (THS) of UB. Research and education at Textile Materials Technology (TMT) research group at THS focuses on resource efficient textile processes for functional and smart textiles. The TMT group at THS owns a conducive environment for scientific research targeting the invention of functional and smart textiles.

AEI Tèxtils - Associació Agrupació d'Empreses Innovadores Tèxtils

AEI TÈXTILS is the Catalan technical textiles’ cluster with a non-profit association structure. Its mission is to promote innovation with the aim of improving the competitiveness of its members, as well as cooperation, complementarity and communication among them.

Its members comprise SMEs of the whole manufacturing chain of technical textiles, universities, research centers, textile trade associations and other kind or organizations related to the field.

CIAPE - Centro Italiano per l'Apprendimento Permanente

CIAPE is a non profit private organisation, which exists as an Association of Learners to promote the development of a learning society through the provision of a quality and comprehensive system of adult learning and education which is accessible and inclusive.

DSKD - Designskolen Kolding

Design School Kolding is Danish a design university with strong emphasis on hands-on learning and design processes. The institution educates students in the disciplinary BA programs: Fashion, Textiles, Accessory, Industrial and Communication design, and the inter disciplinary MA programs: Design for Planet, Design for People and Design for Play.

Materially S.r.l. Impresa Sociale

Materially helps companies in the development and diffusion of sustainable innovation starting from materials. Materially operates with a design-oriented approach and acts as a generator of links between producers of innovative and sustainable materials, as well as emerging material and processing technologies, and their potential users, be they companies or freelance professionals.

LCI Barcelona - Escola Superior de Disseny

LCI Barcelona Design and Visual Arts School is the European campus of the Canadian educational network LCI Education. The objective of the School is to foster the creative and human potential of each of the students, to turn them into competent professionals who can take on the challenges of the industry in a globalized world and into responsible citizens committed to society. POLIMI - Politecnico Di Milano

Our main objective is to facilitate networking and cooperation among local, regional, national and European authorities, universities, research centres, organizations, business associations and enterprises, in order to promote and disseminate innovation, entrepreneurship, social economy, sustainable development and exchange of knowledge.
